Greeting someone for the first time (basic)

A situation where you exchange names and greet someone you meet for the first time at a party or gathering. Saying your name → nice to meet you → where you're from completes the first greeting in three sentences.

Adding Hi before your name makes for a natural first opener. 'I'm' is much more casual and common than 'My name is'.

Nice to meet you too.
I'm glad to meet you too.
If the other person says 'Nice to meet you' first, just add 'too' to finish. A short 'You too!' is also fine.
