Leaving a message — basics
When the person you are looking for is not available, say 'I'll leave a message,' ask them to let them know I called, and briefly leave my contact information and purpose.

Can I leave a message?
Could you let them know I called?
Could you ask them to call me back?
'have someone call me back' is a request to have someone call me back. It's a request, not a direct command.
My number is 010-1234-5678.
For numbers, say each digit clearly. 0 is 'oh' or 'zero,' and for the same digit twice, say 'double' (e.g., 55 = double five) to make it easier to understand.
It's related to scheduling.
A one-line purpose in the message. Just insert a noun into 'It's about ___' to convey any purpose briefly.
The message is fine. I'll call back.
