in / on / at prepositions sense of size
When talking about time and place like 'What time? What day? Where?' use in·on·at each time. Organize it with a sense of size.

For specific points in time like 'exact time', use at. at 7, at noon, at midnight.
Let's meet on Monday.
Days and dates use on. on Monday, on the 5th, on my birthday.
My birthday is in May.
For 'broad periods' like months, seasons, and years use in. in May, in summer, in 2026.
I exercise in the morning.
in the morning/afternoon/evening. However, the exception is 'at night'!
I'm at that bus stop.
When viewed as 'a point', use at. at the bus stop, at the door, at the corner.
It's on the table.
If it's 'touching a surface', use on. on the table, on the wall, on the floor.
It's in my bag.
If it's inside (a space), use in. in my bag, in the box, in the room.
