Privacy notice
RealEng processes only the information needed to provide real_talk. We do not collect exact birth dates or store raw camera video or microphone audio.

Information and purposes
Email, social sign-in identifiers, and the timestamp of your age-14-or-older attestation are used for sign-in and eligibility. Learning settings, text transcripts, reports, and usage time provide learning features. Paddle customer and subscription identifiers manage paid access.
Camera and voice
The camera is used only for the local self-view. Audio is sent to OpenAI for the live conversation, but raw audio is not stored in the RealEng database.
Retention
Text transcripts are automatically deleted after 90 days. Account, billing status, and learning reports are kept only as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
Service providers
We use Supabase for authentication and data, OpenAI for AI conversations and reports, Paddle for billing, tax, and refunds, and Vercel for hosting. Required information may be transferred securely to these global providers.
Children's privacy
real_talk is available only to users aged 14 and older. Users must attest that they are at least 14; accounts without this attestation do not receive a learning profile, free time, or paid features.
