I think there's been a mix-up — this isn't what I ordered.
比起直接指責 'You brought the wrong dish' 更委婉。
Sorry, but this is a little undercooked. Could you put it back on?
put it back on = 再放回火上。undercooked(生) ↔ overcooked(過熟)。
When you get a chance, could we order another round?
when you get a chance'讓催促變得柔和。
Would you mind taking this back?
Would you mind + ~ing = 最客氣的請求。
We've been waiting a while — could you check on our order?
That was delicious — my compliments to the chef.
my compliments to the chef = 讚美廚師。
- 1
即使是抱怨,放在禮貌的框架裡也會變得順暢:緩衝語(Sorry, but / I think) + 事實(this is...
- 2
) + 請求(could you...?
- 3
)。
- 4
- compliments to the chef — 轉達給廚師的讚美
